What better way to enjoy the gorgeous weather, ocean breezes and fantastic culture of the San Francisco Bay area than with some live music? The Shoreline Amphitheatre, just outside Mountain View, California, goes above and beyond the expectations of outdoor concert venues, leaving no doubt as to why thousands of fans flock there bearing Shoreline Amphitheatre concert tickets for their myriad musical events.
The space was constructed in the mid-eighties after the design of famed music industry promoter Bill Graham, who modeled the bird’s eye view of it after the album cover of Steal Your Face by The Grateful Dead (the band would later play at the Shoreline in 1987). Other acts that have taken the stage include the Dave Matthews Band, Steve Winwood, The Scorpions, and The Killers, not to mention the many famous music festivals the Shoreline has hosted from Warped Tour and Ozzfest to Lollapalooza and Lilith Fair.
The stadium holds about 6,500 in its comfy seated area, with an additional capacity of 16,000 for general admission lawn seating. Anywhere you sit, the music will reach and amaze you, as the amphitheatre has one of the best sound systems around. Just make sure to bring sunscreen! For festivals, the venue also places several stages in the parking lot area, bringing the total capacity up to around 30,000. Expansive tents are usually erected in these instances, so fans can enjoy their favorite acts while being protected from the elements.
The staff of the Shoreline should certainly be acknowledged for their propensity to keep the place as spotless as possible. There are several food and drink options, including a full bar and typical outdoor venue fare, like soft pretzels and delicious garlic fries. Whatever show you’re catching, concert tickets for the Shoreline Amphitheatre are sure to make every fan happy; find them anytime at ConcertTickets.com.
