The BancorpSouth Arena is Tupelo, Mississippi’s finest concert venue and an unbeatable destination for some premiere southern fun. You can catch a wide array of the south’s finest musical acts here, as well as some of the most exciting sports moments for miles around. If you’re in Tupelo or any surrounding cities, make sure that you secure Bancorp South Arena concert tickets for the very best in live Mississippi entertainment!
The Arena opened in 1993 to a spectacular show hosted by the inimitable Bill Cosby. Its mission was clear: to provide a high-quality, high-capacity venue to host elite artists in Mississippi. A slew of awards in 1994, including Best New Major Concert Venue and Best New Facility Overall, confirmed that it had succeeded in its goal and soon big name acts began to pour in from all over the country. With 10,000 seats and a $16 million price tag, the Arena was more than ready to accommodate the increased clientele.
The myriad events held over the years have included an incredibly diverse variety of shows. Its sports presence is almost as pronounced as its musical one, and it is the permanent home to the Mississippi Hound Dogs indoor football team. It has also hosted numerous WWE shows, as well as rodeos, hockey games, basketball games, and even Harlem Globetrotter matches. Its illustrious music alumni include Van Halen, The Eagles and Aerosmith. Upcoming shows will feature Eric Church and the Averett Brothers. With big names in all fields of live entertainment, it’s no wonder that concert tickets for the BancorpSouth are such a big hit in the state of Mississippi!
