One of the top venues to catch Missouri’s musical acts is the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater (formerly the Riverport Amphitheater, formerly the UCB Bank Pavilion), located in St. Louis. The outdoor concert theater boasts a 20,000 person capacity and has hosted a number of high-profile musical festivals, including The Vans Warped Tour, Lollapalooza, and Ozzfest.

Heading to Kansas City (yep, located in Missouri), one can find the Kemper Arena. It’s primarily a sports arena, but if you want to catch a larger-than-life stadium rock show, odds are you’ll find it here. Alumni of this location include Cher, Michael Jackson, and U2, along with hundreds of other superstar acts.

The Municipal Auditorium is another huge concert hot spot in Kansas City, and it’s been around since 1936. A masterful combination of modern and art deco architecture provide a memorable look for the auditorium, which primarily hosts orchestras and opera themed shows. In addition to its classy musical fare in the Music Hall, the Arena section of the Auditorium is the primary spot for college basketball games during the NCAA tournament.

The Midland Theater in Kansas City offers a slightly more intimate setting than the aforementioned venues, without sacrificing any of the quality of the performers.
