The Sears Centre Arena is Illinois’ most dominant entertainment venue, located in Hoffman Estates. The giant arena has 11,000 seats for fans, and collects upwards of 750,000 visitors each year. All of the biggest acts in Illinois choose to rock this venue, so if you’re looking for A-List content, make sure you visit the Centre. Recent acts include Bob Dylan, Taylor Swift and The Who.

If stadium rock isn’t your style, the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts might be more to your liking. This intricate concert hall was funded by Herman C. Krannert, who built it as a gift to his alma mater, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champain. The Urbana based center hosts many fine art and instrumental performances. Acclaimed artists like Grammy winning violinist Dee Dee Bridgewater and cellist Yo Yo Ma have graced the Krannert Center’s stage. When entering the venue, it's easy to be impressed, as the teak floor was imported from Thailand and the marble walls from Italy, at a cost of millions.

Chicago’s Charter One Pavilion is a gorgeous outdoor pavilion that has been featured in many album recordings and concert filmings. The island it is built on is actually a nature reserve, so in an interesting arrangement with the city of Chicago, the pavilion is completely disassembled and removed each fall.
