Summer Show Review: Splash House

Summer Show Review: Splash House

On August 8th, we traveled out to the Hard Rock Hotel in Palm Springs, and made it our "home" destination during the 3-day, 3-hotel pool party festival known as Splash House.

One of the greatest things about this music festival?

New artists. Lots of fresh sounds. And lots of inflatables, of course.

The biggest acts there included Chromeo, Flume, Cut Copy, and Atrak.

One of our new favorite discoveries? Trippy Turtle. He got down with lots of old school hip-hop and rap beats -- like dropping 'Are you that Somebody' by Aaliyah -- all while wadrobed in a green turtle ONESIE, which is some serious costume dedication considering the temperature was pushing 100 degrees.

Chromeo also killed it!

Flume, one of our favorite new young artists, blew us away, and we were blown away by how close we were able to get!

We ended Sunday on the balcony of our hotel, watching the final performances, as the sun set against the California mountain skyline.
