Hip Hop Greats: Nas and Lauryn Hill keep the magic rolling
Calling all hip-hop fans: two of your favorite music icons, Nas and the Ms. Lauryn Hill, will co-headline a hot tour across the U.S. this fall. Titled Life is Good/Black Rage, the tour will run for three weeks, ending at the Fox Theater in Oakland, CA on November 19. While there are only 10 dates, the tour spans out and is scheduled to hit a variety of venues from California to Chicago to Boston.
The decision to tour was surely encouraged by the success of two recent performances, first at Hot 97’s Summer Jam and again in September at Rock the Bells. Sure to be one of the hottest tours, this powerful duo is a dream for long time hip-hop fans.
Hill began with the hip-hop-reggea fusion band the Fugees. She later went on to release her own five Grammy Award-winning album in 1998, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.
Nas, whose first release, Illmatic is known as “a classic in the rap genre,” got his start in the mid-90s. Since then, he has sold over thirteen-million records in the United States, releasing eight successive platinum and multi-platinum albums. He is ranked as one of the greatest rappers of all time
Of the long-awaited tour, Nas has said "This is history. Better late than never. Life is good!" Find tickets, watch video and learn more here.
