Hiatus No More! John Mayer Sets First Tour in Three Years

After an extended 3-year vocal hiatus triggered by throat issues, #MAYERISBACK, announcing today that he will travel on tour to North America and South America this summer. The singer-songwriter couldn’t be more excited, and thankful, considering at one point, he was told he might never sing again.

"For me to get back onstage and play again, it's just like, 'Oh right, this is what I'm able to do. This is what I've been able to do while I was watching a whole bunch of Westerns every night and making rice bowls with chicken,'" Mayer told Rolling Stone in a recent interview about his return. "It's been very fun to uncover it and rediscover it again."

As of recent, Mayer has been slowly making his way back into the spotlight, like earlier this week, when he hosted a Google+ Hangout.

There's no doubt that John Mayer is talented-- just watching him live, it's clear the guy's mind is spinning and scheming up ridiculously creative musical patterns. Always a lively character, especially when it comes to Hollywood dating, we're excited to follow Mr. Mayer's re-entrance into the mainstream music scene. Will his fans still be there, waiting?
