Cry Me a River --- of Joy! Justin Timberlake to Release New Album Soon
Leave it to the tantalizing JT to throw fans into a frenzy on Twitter! According to sources, a cryptic tweet was posted by the singer-actor late on January 9th, with this simple message:
"Thursday, January 10th, 2013 at 9:01 am PST..."
Within an hour, JT was the top trending topic on Twitter and had his 15 million+ fans asking whether or not a new album was on its way. Then on January 10, suspicions were confirmed when Timberlake posted a thought-provoking video to his official website.
In the video, JT talks about how he’s “only done two albums in 10 years,” adding “What does the next decade mean for me?” and “I don’t want to put anything out that I feel is something I don’t love. You just don’t get that every day. You have to wait for it. … I’m ready.”
If that doesn’t have you jumping for joy yet, JT’s new album is said be produced by longtime collaborator Timbaland. Timberlake, known to many as the ‘original Justin,’ is believed to have around 20 fresh tracks recorded. And a source familiar with the project confirms to Billboard that Timberlake is definitely releasing a new album more sooner than later.
A new album is long overdue for this former mouseketeer. His last studio effort, “FutureSex/LoveSounds,” was released in 2006. While it had seemed like our favorite *NSYNC-er had taken a break from the music to focus on acting, an insider says Timberlake has been quietly and methodically preparing to release an album with almost no warning.
For now, we wait. And obsessively check JT’s tweets on the reg. Stay tuned to ConcertTickets.com for more on this and other breaking music news.
