Concert Season Kick-off
We all know what the start of summer means: concert and festival season has arrived. We were eager to start our summer, and we think we hit if off hard. With the list of talents we can say we've seen so far, It's already shaping up to be one of the most memorable. Definitely one for the books.
We kicked-off summer with a lil 'Sweet Home Alabama,' dancing on the white sands of the Gulf Shores at Hangout Fest.
Two weeks later, we sweated it up in Houston at Free Press Summer Fest (FPSF), where we raged the day and night away -- and got down and diiiirty -- in the beautiful Eleanor Tinsley Park. The lineup, as always, was out of this world, including CHVRCHES, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Big Gigantic, Zedd, Flosstradamus, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Adventure Club, Ying Yang Twins, H-Towns Rappers, Laidback Luke, and the Naked and the Famous, just to name a few.
Highlight? Dancing with (yes, with) Edward Sharpe when he jumped in the audience while performing his first song.
We returned to L.A. and continued on, next up: Mat Zo at Exchange L.A. He absolutely killed it, playing a 3+ hour set. It was insane. We left, mindblown.
To close our kick-off on a high, we scored VIP to see Gareth Emery -- before he hit EDC Las Vegas -- at Sutra, in Costa Mesa. As always, Gareth took us to our happy place, and (especially for a Thursday) the crowd was on fire. Everyone was on their feed, and the energy radiated fiercely throughout the intimate venue.
Stay tuned all summer. There's much more to come.
