V.I.P. at the Black Keys: The Ultimate Fan's Review at the STAPLES Center

V.I.P. at the Black Keys: The Ultimate Fan's Review at the STAPLES Center

What goes better with today’s announcement that The Black Keys are releasing a six-song EP of music they recorded live in the studio in December 2011? Try this-- presenting the first ConcertTickets.com Ultimate Fan Experience: The Black Keys. Recently at the Los Angeles STAPLES Center, we were lucky enough to rock out with some local Black Keys fans.

Playing at a venue like the STAPLES Center, there was some apprehension as to whether The Black Keys could handle such a big stage, as we've only seen the band in more intimate shows. To put it quite plainly - the Black Keys straight up brought the house down! This show proved how truly talented this group is, as every Black Keys enthusiast rocked hands in the air from start-to-finish, including one of their most die-hard fans, Baltimore native - Mark Duffy. With his first trip to the STAPLES Center in L.A., Mark was able to score a few last minute V.I.P. tickets through ConcertTickets.com and we met up with him to see his vantage point during this "lights-out" Black Keys performance.

Here's a view of his night throughout...

Pre-show Party - enjoying drinks overlooking L.A. Live at the STAPLES Center. Couldn't be more amped!

V.I.P. View - After an awesome showing by Tegan and Sara - watching the seats fill with fans prior to the big show.

The true duo - With just Dan and Patrick on stage - they ripped off 30 minutes of old songs including some awesome new arrangements.  Caught an amazing shot of a hard jam during "Gold on the Ceiling."

Dim the lights - the arena darkens for the mid-song fade in "Little Black Submarines." This was hands-down the best part of the show. The silence followed by the roar of the crowd and light burst was one of those moments you don't forget.

Musical crew - with their two friends on the bass and keyboard - there was an epic finish with "Tighten Up" & "Lonely Boy."

Everlasting memories - The Black Keys closed down with “Everlasting Light,” ending one memorable show that will forever be engraved in the minds of these fans.
