1933
Harry Newman ran for 108 yards against the Boston Redskins on October 8, the New York Giants first 100-yard game.

The New York Giants used their first draft pick to select Southern California's Frank Gifford.
1953
Steve Owen ended a 24-year coaching career with a 153-108-17 record.
1962
Y.A. Tittle passed for 505 yards and an NFL record seven touchdowns against the Washington Redskins on October 28. Del Shofner had 269 receiving yards.
