Her debut album, Whoa! Nelly, was released in 2000 and contained the hit-single “I’m Like a Bird,” as well as two other international hit-singles. “I’m Like a Bird” garnered the pop star a 2001 Juno Award for Single of the Year and a 2002 Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.
