Motley Crue is a band that combines musicianship and showmanship with the rock & roll mantra of “sex, drugs and rock ‘n roll." Their escapades have put them in numerous gossip magazines, and their talent has put them on the charts. Motley Crue has influenced bands like Poison, Marilyn Manson, and Slipknot, and through the fame and fortune have always remained true to themselves. The band has as many girlfriends as they do hit singles, and with nine albums produced during the span of their career, there’s lots of Motley Crue to love.
Their story began in 1981, when the band recorded their LP Too Fast For Love and released it independently. After it sold over 20,000 copies the band signed a national recording contract with Elektra Records. Since then, the band has released hit albums like Shout at the Devil and Girls, Girls, Girls. They have been nominated for three Grammys and have won an American Music Award for Favorite Heavy Metal/Hard Rock Album. In 2006, Motley Crue was inducted into the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and since then has toured with Aerosmith, Poison, and the New York Dolls.
The band just finished up a three week residency in Las Vegas, and bassist Nikki Sixx stated “This is the beginning of what will be the biggest four to five years of the bands’ career. We’re negotiating with a couple of other extremely huge bands on doing a co-headline tour”. In the same interview, Sixx made hints that the band has talked about breaking up, and it is a possibility. So, the next time they announce a tour, get your Motley Crue concert tickets from ConcertTickets.com and experience the heavy metal legends for yourself!
