Journey is an American classic rock band from San Francisco that formed in 1973. The band’s eighth studio album, Escape, reached number one on the Billboard charts. The follow-up, Frontiers, was almost as successful, reaching #2 on the charts and spawning a series of hits. According to the Recording Industry Association of America, Journey has sold almost 50 million albums in the U.S, making them the 28th best-selling band in the states. A USA Today opinion poll conducted in 2005 named the band the fifth greatest American rock band in history.

Journey is equally as represented in popular culture as they are on the charts, with their songs being referenced or heard in numerous films and television shows throughout the years. “Don’t  Stop Believin’” was heard in the final episode of The Sopranos, adapted by the Glee cast, sung by the Family Guy cast, and sung in the Broadway musical “Rock of Ages.”
