Not only has the band sold over 120 million albums worldwide, with 100 million being sold in the United States alone, but Their Greatest Hits (1971-1975) is the best –selling album ever in the U.S, with 42 million copies sold worldwide.

Although their self-titled debut, in 1972, and their follow-up album, Desperado in 1973, spawned a long list of number-one hits, including “Take It Easy,” “Best of My Love,” and “Desperado,” it wasn’t until their 1975 album, One Of These Nights, that the Eagles became America’s favorite band.  This album spawned three top ten singles, and the success continued with the release of Hotel California, which produced one of their most popular songs and generated 16 million albums sold in the U.S alone.
