He subsequently began performing in church, around the community, and at school events.

After being discovered by local radio station producer Tom Miller, Paisley was asked to become a weekly regular on Jamboree USA and was later the youngest performer to ever be inducted into the Jamboree USA Hall of Fame during his junior high years. While concert tickets for Brad Paisley are now in high demand, it took several years before the singer signed with Arista Nashville and released his debut album, Who Needs Pictures, which went platinum in February 2001.

The artist spent 2002 touring with Lonestar to promote his second album, and in the same year, he won the CMA Music Video of the Year award with his celebrity-laden video for “I’m Gonna Miss Her (The Fishin Song).” In 2003, he released his third album, Mud on the Tires, which became notorious for the song “Celebrity,” the video for which satirized hit reality television shows and also appropriately featured numerous celebrities.

Paisley has toured and recorded with such country greats as Dolly Parton, Reba McEntire, Alan Jackson, and Keith Urban. Two of his songs were added to the soundtrack of the 2006 Disney movie Cars. Paisley was even asked to perform at the White House.
