His career spans the past five decades, and he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004. He began his music career in 1961 but didn’t gain widespread attention from music critics and fans until the 1976 release of his album Night Moves. The single, of the same title, quickly became a hit-single, reaching #4 on the Billboard charts. Night Moves was his ninth studio album, and since then, he has released seven more.
The artist's latest release, 2006’s Face The Promise, sold over 400,000 copies in its first 45 days and sold over 1.2 million albums worldwide. The success that accompanied this album proved that Bob Seger still had appeal, catapulted him back into Platinum album status, and spawned an extremely successful tour. Bob Seger is currently in the studio recording a new album, which is set to be released in the Fall of 2012.
