Lambert grew up participating in plays in his hometown, and after a short stint at college in Orange County he decided to move to Los Angeles to pursue his dream in full. Lambert began generating some buzz in L.A. with his theater work, but he began his rise to national prominence through his work on American Idol, where his ability impressed both the judges and the American public alike.
Shortly after completing the competition, Lambert went to work on his debut album For Your Entertainment, which released later that year. The album was a huge success, debuting at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart. The record included such memorable hits as “If I Had You” and “Whataya Want From Me,” the latter of which garnered him his first Grammy nomination in 2010. Music fans across the country were impressed by his style and vigor and flocked in droves to experience Adam Lambert's incredible showmanship for themselves.
After several years of collecting awards, appearing on magazine covers, and headlining his tour “Glam Nation,” the artist went back to work on his second studio album, Trespassing, which is slated for release in 2012. Trespassing is highly anticipated, featuring production from Grammy Award winner Pharell Williams, as well as the “hit whisperer” Dr. Luke. The lead single “Better Than I Know Myself,” has garnered rave reviews after being performed on both The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Ellen.
